GLOBOCAM TAKES ADVANTAGE OF PEDLEX’s EXPERTISE TO OPTIMIZE THEIR SPACE

Our client Globocam needed an optimized layout for their new branch: 12 service bays and medium- and high-density storage solutions for their parts department. Discover their testimonial here:
Our client Globocam – the largest network of heavy truck dealerships in Quebec, chose our turnkey service to set up their new dealership in Montreal East.
The challenge:
Globocam needed to optimize the space in their new branch by equipping their service and parts departments, because – in their words:
“Globocam is still expanding and it was important to grow and have a branch that met our customers’ needs – more service bays to repair trucks, larger inventories to service our customers…”
- Fit out the service department with 32 ergonomic workstations
- Choose, supply and install efficient and robust warehousing and storage systems for the parts department
- Arrange high-density storage spaces with drawers in shelves
- While adapting to the changing needs of a construction site in progress
- Dealing with supply chain disruptions.
The solution :
Following consultations on their premises by our project manager Pier-Olivier, our client chose our specialized industrial quality solutions.
They appreciated our turnkey service, from consultation to installation, as well as the expertise of our Pedlex project management specialists:
For the service department:
- To allow the technicians to work ergonomically, 32 GT general technician workstations by Rousseau métal: laced in a V-shape to facilitate the smooth movement of trucks, measuring 102″W x 27″D x 39″H with stainless steel tops, power modules, modular cabinets.
- 7 heavy-duty drawers (capacity of 400lb each), a Multitek cart and wall-mounted computer cabinets.
For the parts department:
- For efficient storage of heavy goods : a Nuvorack static accumulation racking system with a capacity of 5,200 lb per level, with safety mesh, 18 sections with 570 cells in total : 8 sections of 96″W x 42″D x 62″H and 10 sections of 108″W x 42″D x 62″H
- For high-density storage of goods of medium weight: 200 heavy-duty Spider shelves, along the walls or back-to-back, with 5S hanging perforated panels (pegboard) on the sides
- For storing frequently used or irregularly shaped tools and materials: 9 freestanding 5S utility perforated panels in the shape of a U, which easily create modular storage rooms.

” The old Anjou branch had become much too small for our needs. So, we decided to open a new branch in Montreal East – which has been in place since January 2022.
We chose to do business with Pedlex for all these novelties, which I had known for quite a long time.
